July Stamp of the Month: Life is Wonderful!

It's a wonderful life indeed! Close to My Heart is all about celebrating everything that is wonderful in your life and this month we have a Stamp of the Month that will allow you to shout it from the rooftoops - or at least from the pages of your scrapbooks!

Welcome to the July Stamp of the Month blog hop. This month we have over 45 talented consultants joining in on the fun to showcase this great stamp set! If you've arrived here from Brenda's website, you are on the right path. If this is your first stop, following along is simple. Just click the links at the bottom of each blog post to be directed to the next blog in the hop. By the time you arrive back here, or to your original starting point, you are sure the agree that this little gem of a stamp is simply wonderful! If you get lost along the way, or find links not working, you can find the complete list of hoppers HERE!

The July Stamp of the Month, Life is Wonderful (S1507) is a set of 8 stamps featuring words, flourishes, frames and more all in the super trendy subway art or chalkboard art style. My favorite feature of this set, aside from the general style, is that all of the words and phrase are separate stamps, allowing you to mix and match to create the sentiment you desire!

I am totally in love with the chalkboard look and knew I had to pull out my Black cardstock and White Daisy ink! These two cards are super simple and came together in a flash. The first one features the black and glacier polka dot B&T from the Snowhaven paper packet, a little glacier cardstock and a simple strip of Silver Shimmer Trim. Don't you love that even our "seasonal" papers, like Snowhaven, can be use all year long?

My second creation features the same simple design as the first, just rotated. I went with a slightly bolder look for this one with the Chalk It Up papers and a little Black Shimmer Trim.

Time to hop along and see what Angela created to share with us!

Remember, the Life is Wonderful set is only available through July. This month we have an amazing deal on the Stamp of the Month! With and order of just $25 in exclusive My Acrylix stamp sets, the Life is Wonderful set is your FREE!!! Visit my website to get yours right away!

I love, love, love this set and thought it needed to be paired with the fun, bright colors of the Confetti Wishes paper. This sweet little card was pretty quick to put together and gave me another chance to play with the ShinHan Touch markers. The Gold Shimmer Trim and the sequins from the Gold Assortment added the finishing touches.

Happy May! Welcome to the May Stamp of the Month Blog Hop. If you've arrived here from Crafty Carol's blog, you are on the right track. If this is your first stop, following along is simple. Just click the links provided at the bottom of each blog post to be directed to the next blog in the hop. We have over 50 talented consultants participating this month, so by the time you arrive back here (or to your original starting place), you are sure to be inspired to get creative...just sayin'!

The May 2015 Stamp of the Month, Just Sayin' (S1505) is a set of 14 stamps...tags, labels, basic shapes...the creative options are endless!

I wanted to combine multiple images from the Just Sayin' stamp set to create a unique card. With the help of a little masking, I was able to stamp the YOU from the YOU+ME stamp inside the oval frame.
This card features the new Blossom papers, the Coral Reef Sequins, a little Extra Thick Twine in Glacier and the Sparkle Flourishes. The R is cut from the Cricut Artfully Sent cartridge. I used 3-D Foam Tape to pop up the stamped images to add a little dimension.

Time to hop along and see what Brenda has created with the Just Sayin' stamp set.

Remember, the Just Sayin' set is only available through May. When you place a $50 order, you can add it on for just $5 (a $17.95 value). Head on over to my website to order yours today!

Seasonal Expressions 2 Blog Hop

Have you checked out the newest issue of Seasonal Expressions from Close to My Heart! This mini-catalog is filled with fresh new goodies for your crafting fun! Today we have over 40 talented consultants ready to share their creations featuring new products just released in Seasonal Expressions 2!

If you've arrived here from Jean's blog, you are on the right track. If this is your first stop, simply click on the links provided at the bottom of each post to be taken to the next blog in the hop.

There are so many fun new products in this edition, I really had a difficult time deciding which to feature. I opted to share a special stamp set that will only be available through the life of Seasonal Expressions 2 (through July 2015). Happy Everything (D1563) is a set of 13 stamp sets with adorable, mixed-font sentiments, a border, a bee and a balloon - what more could you need?!?! The most important thing about this stamp set is that it is our special Operation Smile Stamp set - a portion of each stamp set sold goes directly to Operation Smile to help children! Click HERE to learn more about Operation Smile and the amazing work they do to provide beautiful smiles for children all over the world.

I originally decided to pair the Happy Everything stamp set with the new Blossom Paper Packet - so fun and springy and just perfect for a "Happy Everything" card! I also used the new Glacier Extra Thick Twine and the Aqua Dots.

I also wanted to feature the new Jackson Paper Packet and see the same stamp set in a totally different look. Jackson has a much more masculine, outdoorsy feel - it also has a Picture My Life kit that makes card making so quick and easy!

I LOVE using PML cards on my greeting cards! This card uses Jackson papers as the base, but the sentiment piece is a combination the two PML cards pictured below and a little bit of Colonial White cardstock.  Of course, that Glacier Extra Thick Twine that was so fun on the springy Blossom card, works beautifully with Jackson as well!

Monogram Note Cards Make GREAT Gifts!

I know I've shared a couple monogrammed notecards sets in the past. They truly are one of my favorite gifts to give. I've made a few sets as hostess gifts lately, but silly me, I forgot to take pictures of all of them. I do have one set to share though!

These cards use the Vogue Alphabet (E1026) as well as Paper Fundamentals-Whimsy Assortment (Z2033). I love the versatility of the Paper Fundamentals - fun colors and white pattern on one side with a the same pattern clear embossed on the opposite side for a more subtle look. For these cards I just used the color & white side so the designs would pop a bit more. A little Slate Diagonal Striped Ribbon (Z1989) added the finishing touch!

Visit my website to find the products to make these cards - and so much more!

Seasonal Expressions Blog Hop

The first ever Seasonal Expressions from Close to My Heart is HERE! Seasonal Expressions is a "mini" supplement to our amazing Annual Inspirations, but there is nothing mini about it - it is simply chock full of fun new crafting products...new papers, new stamp sets and lots of new embellishments! And what better way to welcome the Seasonal Expressions (and give YOU a taste of what's inside) than with a Blog Hop!

If you've arrived here from Jean's blog, you are on the right track. If this is your first top, following along is simple - just click on the link at the bottom of each blog post to be taken to the next blog in the hop! We have over 35 talented consultants participating - just enough to whet your appetite for the goodness within the pages of the Seasonal Expressions!

This super easy card illustrates the versatility of our Picture My Life cards.

I found the rainbow piece in the new Hopscotch PML kit. The "thanks" is from the new Variety of Thanks stamp set - a Hostess Exclusive - and is stamped using Ponderosa Pine ink. Those fun butterflies are from the new Junebug Puffies - yes, super fun puffy stickers! The rest of the card features Hopscotch papers (and one strip from the Heartstrings paper packet - I love how our papers mix and match so wonderfully!).

Products from the Seasonal Expressions are available NOW through March. Head on over to my website and pick up your favorites today!

Time to hop along and see what Judy Faye Garner created to share with us all! Happy Hopping!
