August Stamp of the Month Blog Hop: What a Hoot!

August already? Where has summer gone? For many, August means the end of summer and back to school, but for us at Close to My Heart it is just the beginning...the beginning of our brand new Annual Inspirations idea book and catalog (more on that fabulousness in upcoming posts). It also means time for a new Stamp of the Month and a new blog hop!

If you've arrived here from Priscilla's blog, you are on the right track. If this is your first stop, following along is simple. Just click the links at the bottom of each blog post and you will be directed to the next blog in the hop. It's one big circle, so by the time you've made it back to your starting point, you are sure to be filled with tons of ideas and inspiration. If you get lost along the way or find links not working, you can find the complete list of hoppers HERE!

The August Stamp of the Month, What a Hoot is a fun and whimsical set filled with adorable owls and party accessories - perfect for Halloween or any celebration!

I chose to pair What a Hoot with our new Pathfinding papers. I absolutely adore the touch of blue mixed in with the traditional fall color scheme. That blue by the way, is a brand new color just joining our color palette, Glacier...isn't it "cool"!?!?

This set lends itself perfectly to the paper piecing method, so I pulled out all of the papers in the Pathfinding set and stamped and cut away! A little Bronze Shimmer Trim and a few Brown and Tan Sparkles add the finishing touches.

Time to hop along and see what Wendy has created to share with us - I know you won't be disappointed! Enjoy! And remember, the August SOTM is only available through August 31st. You can order it today for $17.95 or just $5 when you place a $50 order. Head on over to my website and get yours today!
